internet download manager(idm) manually and get updates

About this process:


To idm manually and if you want to update as if you purchased full version plse follow

these steps.

Steps:

If its your first time editing hosts file i prefer you to first go to hosts folder by going thought address,

go to C:\\System32\Drivers\etc and right click hosts file and select properties and follow

from step 2

(Otherwise)
1. Invode run from desktop by pressing WIndows icon+ R or go to start and select run. In the run

panel type the address below.

%windir%\system32\drivers\etc\
If you feel this tedious just open 'My computer' and in srch box type this address,

notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
If you have a pop-up saying 'access is denied' or something like that then go to step2,else goto step3.

xp users:

Right click on hosts file and go to its properties, then go to security tab and then select your admin

account, just below u will see an edit button (in front of change permissions), Now give the user full

control and write and rd rights and then click on apply and then click on 'ok'. You will be able to edit

the hosts file and save changes in it.

For 7 user or 8 user:

Now right click on hosts file and go to its properties then go to Security tab select Users under Group

or user names and click on edit button,Permission For Host Window will get open, in that window

select Users account and grant permission in bellow section which is "Permission for SYSTEM" by

clicking all checkbox under "Allow" Name and press 'ok'.Don't click on any Deny check box.

Go to START => Then go to RUN and type the following text and click enter:

notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

3. Now copy the below lines of and add to hosts file.

127.0.0.1 www.tonec.com

4. Now open idm and click on ,in that a popup apprs asking Name, Last Name, Email

Address and .

5. Now Enter you name, last name, email address and in field of enter any of the

Now if you open idm,go to idm>help.about idm,you can see that idm is registered.

Wow!!!! Your idm is full version,now you can update or do whatever you want.

To update open the host file again,delete those lines you added,save it and update. After updating

again add those lines to host file.
