Download Belarc Advisor, a free PC audit program with full 8 support that also functions as a

finder tool. Unfortunately, manually loing the 8 product in the registry isn't possible

so you'll need to use a program like this.

The Belarc Advisor builds a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware, network

inventory, missing hotfixes, anti-virus status, security benchmarks, and displays the results in

your Web browser. All of your PC profile information is kept private on your PC and is not sent to any

web server.

Operating Systems: Runs on 8, 2012, 7, 2008 R2, Vista, 2008, 2003, XP, 2000, NT 4,

Me, 98, and 95. Both 32-bit and 64-bit are supported.

Browsers: Runs on Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and many others.

Steps:

1. Install Belarc Advisor,and follow below instructions.


2.Run Belarc Advisor (the initial analysis may take a little while) and note the 8 product

displayed in the Software s section.

The 8 product is a series of 25 letters and s and should look like this:

xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx.

Write down the 8 exactly as shown for use when reinstalling 8
